Food Cravings
Time now is 1am and I don't even know why I'm hungry. I had dinner at like what 7/8 plus? And now, I'm hungry? I don't even know what's wrong with me. All I know is that Scarlet is gonna drop by soon and it's not going to be a nice one. The signs are all showing. Like, the pimple on my nose. And and the tears. And the super tired body. However the most insignificant is the HUNGER and CRAVINGS. Everybody knows I love to eat and you can usually catch me munching on something like every few hours. This is like the most insignificant one because it happens every day except when Scarlet is coming, it gets worse. Anyway, like everybody knows... I have cravings and I'm such a foodie so... I'm gonna list out the food that I'm craving for. Although, I know my cravings for some of them would never be satisfied. ): 1. CARL'S JR PORTOBELLO MUSHROOM BURGER I have been craving for this since December mind you. :\ And I would have probably gone to eat it before work or something at Far East but sadly the Far East outlet is not there anymore. ): Grrr. This burger is more than just a burger. It has black angus beef, tomatoes, onions, cheese and most importantly the mushrooms. Don't even get me started on how juicy this burger is. I'm already drooling in front of the computer. No, Burger King can't compare to the yummy goodness of this burger because portobello mushrooms are simply delightful. Portobello mushrooms are much more exquisite mind you. Plus, this burger is so damn big and so yummy. One bite and it's heaven! I still remember the very first time I tried this heavenly burger. It was at KL. Ahhhhhhh. I'm waiting for post UTs to go out with Karishma just to eat my burger. :D Yes, burger. Wait for me. 2. POPEYE CHICKEN This was only recently added to the list as of 30 mins ago because I was thinking about chicken wings. This is like the yummiest chicken ever. I haven't eaten KFC in days okay and this chicken is all I am ever dreaming about. It's huge, crispy and juicy. Totally melts in your mouth. I like. It's not that spicy and not that oily Although its at the other end of the Earth, or rather Sg... The food is worth it. Or I can go to Sg flyer! :D 3. SHOKUDO Not exactly the name of the food but you get what I intended. I'm craving for Japanese food. YES. Shokudo is very marche styled and I love the ambience. Can't believe I worked at Raffles Place but not once did I go in to eat the yummy yummy food. Grrr. ): Okay, so the first time I ate here was with Joyce & Charmaine and I swear its like a Japanese food haven. No, it's not just sushi. In fact, you have much more such as the baked Japanese curry rice, onigiri, salmon belly and much much more. Did I mention how yummy everything looks? It's perfect for a dinner with friends because you should share and try out everybody's food. Though it's not halal of course. HAHA. It's expensive though but for the food, it's worth it! 4. DONUTS Desert? Yes. Pretty much or perfect as a snack. I just love these donuts. I'll go nom nom nom the minute I see these yummy things. These pictures don't do justice to how amazing donuts are. I know the donut craze is dying but it doesn't hurt to eat them. The new flavours and the jam that melts in your mouth. I take a bite and it's heaven. Sweet sweet paradise. We now have Donut Factory, Dunkin Donuts etc. It's too good. (: More choices. Oh. I haven't tried J.Co Donuts though. ): 5. Portuguese Egg Tarts I'm in love with tarts especially egg tarts. I usually eat the traditional egg tarts but my mom bought these lovely egg tarts from Bukit Gombak and from then on, I fell in love with them. It's not the same as those traditional egg tarts because these ones have a more crispy and flaky crust which is yummy to chew on. However, the main purpose of me eating these egg tarts are the custard. Ahh. So sweet. :D I tried some at the famous beancurd store and yes, it's still delightful. It's sinful but everything sinful is equal to goodness and enjoyment. I'll be eating them soon. That I am very sure of. 6. CHIPPY'S Non-halal but definitely worth it. Or you can try the fried mars bars. I'm actually craving for the sausage and mashed potato because they're so good. It's fucking cheese sausage. Although when you eat it, it does look wrong but you know... I'm in love with BBF. Beer battered fish. It's just goodness and the serving is worth your money. I pay like less than 5 and I get a proper meal for that. The servings are huge. Fries and fish. Ooomph! :D The cheesy curry chicken is also good except that after you eat it, you'll probably need lots of water to drink. Too much salt or something? Ask for the spicy, regular is just a bit boring sometimes. Sadly. I've never tried the calamari rings mainly because I can't eat. HAHAHA! We have an outlet at CCK too, but I don't eat there because people stare. LOL. So Far East or Raffles Place will do me good. 7. TAKOYAKI Balls. Balls and balls. Takoyaki is a japanese dish. It means octopus balls, but obviously seeing the fact that I can't eat seafood, I only eat the ones with ham. It's something like the malay jemput jemput except its in the shape of a ball. You should try. Pasar malams sell these too and boy, do I love buying them. For $2, I get 3 balls and when eaten hot, the feeling is oomph! I love to eat them hot mind you. There's just this delightful taste when eaten hot. I don't know, there's this burning sensation in your mouth and as your eyes begin to tear, you slowly swallow the ball and the heat goes down your body. Ahhh. It's balls of heaven! Recently, I tried the takoyaki at 313 and they have more flavours. Usually, its just ham and cheese, prawn and octopus but now, there's salmon, beef and cheese, mushroom and cheese, peach and cheese. The numerous flavours makes you just want to try all of them and that's what I'm intending to do. For $3, I got 4 balls. More than the usual 3. You definitely should try. 8. Nasi Ayam Penyet Okay, the only reason why I love eating this is because of the sambal. Nothing else. It's just normal chicken rice except the sambal is spicier and tangier. I don't even eat chicken rice with sambal but this one. Ooh! I eat. I eat and I eat until I sweat profusely. Damn good man. :D 9. SUBWAY To think that there's Subway in school. :\ I'm getting sick of just Cold Cut Trio. Not nice anymore. I want to try something that has flavour. And for this, I can only get at KL because it serves no pork. I is angry. Very very. Oh well, I'm craving so much for Subway. The mustard sauce, the honey mustard and the bread. Let's pray I'll eat it on Monday or you'll never hear the end of it. HAHA. (: Okay, I just like the taste of the bread okay? ): Pfffft. 10. FISH HEAD STEAMBOAT Thanks ah Meng Hao for introducing me to steamboat especially Fish head steamboat. There's milk in the soup. Or at least I think its milk and its pretty cheap. The fish is fresh and it's absolutely YUMMY. Or maybe I was just hungry. Still, I love this. Imagine, I ate 3 bowls of rice. Must have been good. And I rarely eat soup okay. But I think what makes it wonderful is when you eat with friends. So W46C, steamboat?? :D LOL. :D
